I disagree that content under Marvel is unimpressive or in poor taste. Comics over the years have pursued new grounds in art, writing and creativity. And for me, Guardians of the Galaxy along with elements of the Avengers have been a very positive part of my life.

You’re right, Clint! I shouldn’t have put down all MarveI stuff as distasteful and should have better communicated what I meant. I actually do like some Marvel stuff myself, as an adult. The Loki show was amazing and WandaVision truly was creative and innovative. I think my problem is really just with the Marvel kids books that she has chosen. Like the Captain America story is so boiled down that it’s just about him getting big muscles so he beat up the bad guys. The pictures can be quite graphic for a four year old. Also you know, body image stuff. But I know I can’t control everything she sees and it’s fruitless to try! Anyways... thanks for making me think about it more deeply and remember that there is plenty to appreciate about Marvel. ❤️

Yes, the children's versions of these stories are very different to the adult versions. There is plenty for an adult to tease out from the comics or stories or movies or series - we can all find something that resonates if we are prepared to give it some time - hopefully something positive has come from Butterbean's exposure too.

Good on you for acknowledging that any reading is good reading for her though.
