Welcome to Week #195 of Might Could Draw Today (MCDT)! I’m here to invite you to draw with me today!
👋 If you’re new here: I started MCDT in 2016 and through its various iterations, it has spurred the creation of over 20,000 pieces of art by hundreds of artists from around the world! A new art prompt is delivered every Monday and you have the week to draw from that theme however you choose.
Here’s where we’re goin’ today:

Let’s go!
✏️ This Week’s Theme
Week 195 continues our month-long Nintendober prompt! There are 31 prompts, all revolving around the world of Nintendo characters, split up into four weeks. This is the LAST WEEK, y’all!
Week #195: Oct. 24–31, 2022
Theme: Olimar, Lucario, Wolf, Rosalina, Palutena, Shulk, Inkling, and Isabelle
I definitely did not draw last week as much as I intended to. I’m pretty far behind in the 30 character lineup—I’m on #20 Wario. I also decided not to finish two of the characters I drew last week: Marth and Pit. I just wasn’t feeling those characters or the drawing I was making and why waste time with drawing something I’m not enjoying? I think it’s obvious I had more fun drawing Zelda, Sheik, and Falco.
Sometimes you just gotta cut yer losses and move on, ya know?
This is our last week of Nintendo characters and I’m trying to power through because that’s what these October challenges are all about! Come on, y’all, we can do this! Even if I have to draw a stick figure, I’m gonna get all 30 of these characters done by October 31!
👩💻 MCDT Live: Tomorrow!
Want some dedicated time on your calendar for extra accountability to draw and chat with other artists? Join us tomorrow, Tuesday, October 25 from 8–9pm EDT on Zoom to draw together with me and other artists from all over! All you need is a sketchbook and your favorite drawing tool!
Shy to attend a Zoom event?
I get it—I’m an introvert too. Feel free to log into the Zoom event with your video and/or audio turned off if you just want to dip your toes in while you draw and listen if that’s what is most comfortable for you. We’re happy to have you either way—it’s all about carving out some time to draw anyways!
Thanks for drawing with me and I hope to see you at this month’s live drawing meetup tomorrow!
<3,
Christine
